Tämän julkaisin hyvillä mielin

https://issuu.com/seijah/docs/ideaekana

Skill stacking

The article presents the argument for the power of combining multiple average skills to achieve a level of expertise and uniqueness. It sifts the focus from the pressure of becoming best at everything to developing a collection of multiple skills.

The article is very optimistic. It encourages to embrace growth mindset and to appriciate your already existing skills, and to combine the skills when needed to create your own kind of collection of skills rather than focusing on being the best at one thing, there may be a lot of people who can bake, less people who can bake and paint, but a person who can bake, paint, sing, skii and run a marathon is very unique, the article has a very rare and positive perspective about skills, usually people think that you are special when you are best at something and that you have to be the best to be good. The article is very eye opening and it has a unique perspective that I have never thought about before

Skill stacking is very useful and important as a set builder. We have to use so many materials and equipment we cannot master everything perfectly, it is much more important to be able to work with many different things than to be perfect in one of them, we have to be able to weld, sew, paint, do woodwork, use wood, metal, polyurethan, fabric ect. And much more. If I was perfect at welding, but that would be the only thing I am good at, I would be useless at my job. Of course it would be amazing to master everything perfectly, but it is utopian thought that probably no one can achieve, even if we are making a single project, only a one product, we usually have to make it with a lot of different materials, equipment and techniques. To achieve the perfect product. For example, we made a tree decoration for the school and we used concrete, plastic, empty bottles, wire mesh, old pottery like plates and mugs, metal, wood, wire, rebar and more. We had to build the support structures, shape the rebar, weld it, shape the concrete, paint the tree, shape the bottles and plastic to make the leaves, paint the leaves, make mosaic to the sides, and much more. We had to do a ton of different things to make a single product. We have to be able to do a lot of things. If I was the world’s best welder but could not do anything of the other techniques, I would have not been able to make the tree, if I was the best at welding it would not be enough if I could not do anything else. That’s why it is important as a set builder to be able to do a lot of things and to combine the things u can already do, to do other new things.

As a set builder I am average at most of the things we have done  shaping, welding, woodwork, painting, and I am also pretty good at planning and calculating and I can improvise and combine my already average skills to achieve the needed result I am also pretty good at problem solving which is good as a set builder

Whatever you do, it doesn’t matter how good you are there is always a child in china that is way better than you.

Skill stacking

I think skill stacking is an important thing for everyone to learn in their life. Jason Link wrote the publication after listening to James Altucher’s podcast, where Altucher talked about the concept of skill stacking and how it has helped him in his success.

  • What even is skill stacking?

Skill stacking is combining different skillsets and forming your own unique stack. Any skills can be combined to form a ‘new’ skill. It is very rare for someone to have the same skill stack as you and that is why it is unique and exclusive to you.

You can know the basics of let’s say photography and productization, with putting together those skills you can make better products and media posts about them, than someone who doesn’t know anything about photography.

You are always learning new things, so your skill stack is forever growing, as long as you keep combining things you know, it will keep growing.

It is impossible to master everything you wish to do, so knowing a little and adding it to something else will give you a leg over someone else, who doesn’t realize to use multiple skills to do one thing.

Working on your skill stack is important, because your unique skills make you important to your current or future workplace, it can also be easier to get a good job with a lot of different skills. You can easily add to it, by watching tutorials on how to do different things, or taking online courses.

In conclusion skill stacking is a very useful thing to do in life, and it is easy to grow compered to how much it can help you in your future and career.

Logo suunnittelu

Käyntikortti. Käyntikortissa on tietenkin valituksi tullut logo, ja tekstinä “tietoni” yritystäni varten.

Logo.

  Cartier – Historia

☆  Cartier on yksi maailman tunnetuimmista ylellisyyskorujen ja -kellojen valmistajista. Brändi perustettiin Pariisissa vuonna 1847 Louis-François Cartier’n toimesta, ja se on sittemmin laajentunut kansainväliseksi luksusalan ikoniksi. Cartieria kutsutaan usein nimellä “jewellerof kings and king of jewellers”.

☆ Kultakausi – “Three Cartier Brothers (1880-1940) Kolme veljestä Louis, Pierre ja Jacques nostivat Cartierin maailmanlaajuiseksivoimaksi.Louis Cartier suunnitteli ikonisia malleja kuten: Santos (yksi ensimmäisistä rannekelloista), Tank ja panteriteema, josta tulimyöhemmin Cartierin symboli. Pierre Carties toi brändin amerikkalaiselle ylellisyysmarkkinalle ja Jascues Cartier toi jalokiviä Intiasta ja Lähi-Idästä, rikastuttaen Cartierin värimaailmaa ja estetiikkaa.

–> Suunnittely kehittyi myöhemmin puhtaampiin linjoihin. Valmistettiin Kultainen Love Bracelet (1969) – ruuvattava rannekoru, josta tuli1900-luvun klassikko ja Juste un Clou (1970-luku) – koruarkkitehtuuria (naulalaatikon perusrakenne muutettuna koruksi.

Cartierin muotoilulle tyypillisiä piirteitä

  1. Art Deco -vaikutteet

Cartier oli yksi Art Deco -tyylin tärkeimmistä edelläkävijöistä:

☆ Symmetria, geometria, kontrastit (esim. onyx + timantti)

  1. Värikivien käyttö

Cartier yhdistää usein:

☆ Rubiineja, smaragdeja, safiireja, onyxia, korallia, jadea

  1. Panteriteema

Panterista tuli ikoninen vuonna 1914.

Jeanne Toussaint (Cartierin luova johtaja) oli keskeinen panteriteemojen kehittäjä.

Panterikorut yhdistävät:

☆ Optista emalia, timantteja, onyxin pisteitä, realistista eläinmuotoilua

  1. Jalometallien käsittely

Cartier on erityisen tunnettu:

☆  Erittäin hienosta valkokultaseoksesta, tarkasta istutustyöstä (erityisesti pavé-istutus), näkymättömistä kivikiinnityksistä (invisible setting) ja innovatiivisista korumekanisoinneista

☆  Love Bracelet – ruuveilla kiinnitettävä rannekoru.

☆  Trinity Ring (1924) – kolmivärinen kultasormus (keltainen, valkoinen, ruusukulta).

My results were ENFP-type, activist.

ENFP-type is enthusiastic, creative and idealistic. Pulling other people in by your energy. Your charisma and sincere interest in people, makes you naturally connect people. Your mind is a constant whirlwind of ideas and possibilities, each more exciting than the last. Your curiosity knows no bounds, you have an insatiable desire to experience new things and gain new perspectives. This openness combined with your vivid imagination, gives you a new opportunity to perceive potential and opportunities, even where others don’t see them. However, you are not just a dreamer, you are a dreamer with a mission, and you are driven by a deep-rooted desire to make the world a better place.

You have a strong sense of right and wrong, and you are not afraid to stand up for your beliefs. This idealism combined with your natural empathy, makes you a strong, caring person. On the other hand, this can also lead to disappointment when the world doesn’t live up to your high expectations. While your enthusiasm and creativity are your superpowers, they can also bring challenges. Your mind moves quickly, jumping from one exciting idea to the next, which can make it difficult to complete everyday tasks and follow routines. You may find yourself starting several projects but often abandoning them, when a new and more exciting opportunity takes your attention. At your core, you are guided by your values and your desire to be authentic.

Personal growth is an exciting journey for you, where you strive to find your authentic self. You are constantly seeking a deeper understanding of yourself and want your own values to guide your choices. This desire for development is admirable, but it can also lead to harsh self-criticism if you feel you are falling short of your own ideals.

Percentages: 58% extrovert. Extroverts enjoy being in a group and value social interactions. They are characterized by enthusiasm, which they also openly express. 59% intuitive, 58% sentimental, 51% investigative, and 58% restless.

Working life: You will succeed in working life in an environment where creativity and flexibility is valued. A traditional working routine can feel stifling, as you have a free spirit. Your task is to find a career path that offers enough variety and meaning to keep you engaged. You excel in roles where you can put your excellent communication skills and your boundless creativity to use.

Your strengths: Exploring new ideas, making connections, flexible attitude, genuinely enthusiastic, creative problem solving, inspiring way of speaking.

Your weakness: Postponing routine tasks, you start but don’t finish, you get bored easily with structures, overachieving, ignoring the details of behavior, taking criticism personally.

My comments: This does sound like me, but a few things are questionable or wrong. I definitely don’t see myself as an extrovert, I see myself as ambivert or introvert. I don’t think I ignore details of behavior. I am creative and like talking to people, but still like having my own space to do my work. I do start a lot of projects and leave many unfinished.

Käyntikortti / Logo

  • Varsinaisessa käyntikortissa EI OLE Instagramin QR-koodia, vaan linkki omalle nettisivulle / portfolioon.
