I think skill stacking is an important thing for everyone to learn in their life. Jason Link wrote the publication after listening to James Altucher’s podcast, where Altucher talked about the concept of skill stacking and how it has helped him in his success.
- What even is skill stacking?
Skill stacking is combining different skillsets and forming your own unique stack. Any skills can be combined to form a ‘new’ skill. It is very rare for someone to have the same skill stack as you and that is why it is unique and exclusive to you.
You can know the basics of let’s say photography and productization, with putting together those skills you can make better products and media posts about them, than someone who doesn’t know anything about photography.
You are always learning new things, so your skill stack is forever growing, as long as you keep combining things you know, it will keep growing.
It is impossible to master everything you wish to do, so knowing a little and adding it to something else will give you a leg over someone else, who doesn’t realize to use multiple skills to do one thing.
Working on your skill stack is important, because your unique skills make you important to your current or future workplace, it can also be easier to get a good job with a lot of different skills. You can easily add to it, by watching tutorials on how to do different things, or taking online courses.
In conclusion skill stacking is a very useful thing to do in life, and it is easy to grow compered to how much it can help you in your future and career.
