Skill stacking means combining different types of skills that you have learned during your life. You do not need to be an expert at one particular skill. Instead, having several average skills that work well together can make you successful.
I think that skill stacking is especially useful in interior designing. As an interior design student, I am learning many different skills that can help me in my future career. For example: Creativity, color theory, planning, materials and understanding spaces, managing projects, how to present ideas to clients and also different kinds of softwares that help me design spaces. By combining these skills I can create my own unique style and stand out from others.
Communication and time management are also useful skills. An interior designer needs to understand what the client wants and explain their own ideas clearly. Projects also need good planning and organization.
I may not be excellent at each and every one of these skills, but together they can become my own skill stack. I can continue developing these skills through my studies, work experience and personal projects. I believe that combining different skills can help me find my own style and build a career that is right for me.
