This is very interesting, and a completely new perspective for me to think about success in my career. I usually think that when I do something new that is visible to others, I must be really good and skilled at it. My thought until now has been that if I start my own company, I must know the work of that field perfectly.
Let’s think that someone is a really good goldsmith, but doesn’t master customer service skills or networking at all. It may turn out to be the fate of the company. I have been aware of such a thing, but perhaps I have not come to think about it in the right way.
Future dreams of starting a company are facilitated by the thought that I don’t need to know everything in this field or be perfect. If I don’t know how to set, for example, small diamonds in jewelry, but I am a good customer service person, I know how to draw and design unique jewelry, I know how to engrave and look for alternative solutions for customers, I think that would be enough for the success of a good company. And even if you know many things to some extent, you can put together a good foundation for your own career.
It certainly requires time to find and know how to use and stack all your own knowledge and skills, and to be able to utilize them.
